There was a time I could sense when a distraction was coming—and even predict how long it might stay. But each time, it lingered longer… and cost me more. I would start something amazing for the Kingdom, and the next thing you know, a man who seemed to be “my type” would slide into my inbox.
I would sweep myself off my feet by creating a version of him that didn’t even exist. I ignored the red flags and dove in headfirst. After a few months, I’d come down from the emotional high, only to find those red flags waiting for me—louder, brighter, and more undeniable than ever.
And there I was—forced to face them… and the unfinished work I had once been so passionate about.
A part of me knew it was a distraction. But if I’m being honest, another small part of me welcomed it.
I wanted to feel what it was like to have my person—to go on dates, to feel butterflies in my stomach, to experience what everyone else seemed to have. What was so wrong with that?
Well… the problem was, the way it came wasn’t from God—and I knew it.
See, anything I get outside of God’s will, I’ll have to stay outside of His will to keep.
And I can’t live without His presence.
So eventually, all of it became unbearable. Too expensive.
It cost me sleep.
It cost me peace.
It cost me money.
But worst of all—it cost me time.
And time… I can’t get back.
I say all this to say: it’s not worth it.
Get the thing the right way—God’s way.
No relationship is worth your peace.

This is wonderful 💯

THAT hit me hard 🫣 But, tough love is needed as much as tender love, from a truly loving Father ♥️🙏🏼

Amen! I have been foolish in this area. Many have been temporary “fillers” that Lookin back, taught me lessons. Sigh
I should be the wisest human on the planet by now! lol

This only comes from wisdom! Most young woman don’t get this until much later in life. If we only knew what we know now—then!!! Without experiencing it, we wouldn’t have believed it, though!
