Yesterday, a man said to me, “I’m nothing. I can do nothing. I am nothing.” That might sound nice and humble to the religious mind, but it’s actually an insult to the Father.
God never called you “nothing.”
He called you a conqueror:
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
—Romans 8:37 (NKJV)
He said you are victorious through Him:
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
—1 Corinthians 15:57 (NKJV)
He said you are above and not beneath, the lender and not the borrower:
“And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath…”
—Deuteronomy 28:13 (NKJV)
“You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.”
—Deuteronomy 28:12 (NKJV)
Too often, we want to sound appealing to church folk. We care more about what they think than what the Word says. I told that man it all sounded humble—but it wasn’t biblical. I even gave him supporting Scripture.
And he blocked me.
Why? Because truth was getting in the way of his belief.
See, it’s easy to take no responsibility for your life. It’s easy to be lazy about the Word. It’s convenient to ignore Paul’s letters and just “wait on God.”
Well, I’ve got news for you:
You ain’t waiting on God.
“…His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us…”
—2 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)
He has ALREADY given you everything you need for life and godliness. He placed it in you before the foundations of the world:
“Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.”
—Ephesians 1:4 (NKJV)
Now, He’s waiting on you—
To TALK.
To SPEAK.
Prayer is WORDS.
Faith is using your imagination to see the end.
Combine the two—and watch how quickly things change.
